He instructs his son to fly on a carpet to the hill of two palm trees, should he run out of food before his return. The boy finds the hill with the two palm trees, he shares his food with a green man who tells him to sleep in the palm trees, where the boy finds gold and diamonds. The boy flies to a city where a princess steals his carpet, his gold and diamonds. With the help of information from the green man, the boy takes his revenge on the princess, feeding her red dates which make a horn grow out of her forehead, and then curing her with yellow dates, and winning back his possessions.
