Sound recording, story; a Japanese tale of fairies and trickster tale, told by Jana Reile in a performance, as part of The Invasion of the Story Snatchers, in Milton Keynes Storytelling Festival, in Milton Keynes, on the 17th and 18th November 2000.

Story told by Jana Reile about supernatural beings which appear as white foxes. A hunter refuses to believe that the white foxes have the trickster powers he is told they have. He goes out into the night, and sees a white fox and then a beautiful girl in close succession. The man assumes the fox has transformed into the girl, warns her parents and kills the girl, only to discover that she was human. The parents of the girl attack the man, but he is saved by a monk who agrees to take the hunter as a monk. The hunter kneals down and closes his eyes for his head to be shaved. When he opens his eyes, the house, the dead girl, her parents and the house have dissappeared, but there is not a single hair on his head.
