an Arabian Nights; 1001 Nights; Sheherazade's Tales story

Sound recording, story; The Fart, or Abu's Fart, a folk tale from the epic cycle 1001 Nights, or The Arabian Nights or Sheherazade's Tales told by a pupil, as part of a performance Go Down in Legend, as the finale of a school storytelling project led by Ben Haggarty, in King Alfred's School, in an unidentified location in England, 4th February, 1990.

Continuation of the frame story of Jimmy told by a pupil in role as a Master of Ceremonies, followed by a story told by another pupil. A story about a merchant, Abu Hassan, who farts as he kisses his wife on his wedding day. Ashamed he runs away to India, and on his return discovers that the incident has become part of the town's history.
