Partnerships & Funding

Partnerships
The LCIS develops partnerships with relevant organisations, as appropriate to the projects it undertakes, and to progress its work establishing a Centre for International Storytelling in London. The LCIS currently works formally and informally with a number of other organisations, including The Barbican Centre, The Beyond the Border Festival, The Prince of Wales Arts & Kids Foundation, The National Sound Archive, numerous museums, galleries and theatres, established storytelling clubs in Leicester, Newcastle and Hebden Bridge, with Le Compagnie du Cercle and La Maison du Conte in Paris and with storytelling groups in Norway, Sweden and Germany.

International connections
The storytellers operating in the UK reflect a diverse range of social, cultural and religious backgrounds. The LCIS continues to establish and build on current partnerships with storytelling organisations in other countries, and promotes and employs the work of artists from across the globe.

Funding
The LCIS is a charitable organisation and seeks financial assistance for projects that fulfil its aims. Support is sought from a number of sources, including Arts Council England, the Heritage Lottery Fund, private grant giving bodies and local government. The LCIS also solicits business sponsorship and private donations.
